This is a 2 year course and is the study of businesses and how they operate within their environment. You will learn about how today\u00b4s businesses carry out the functions of finance, marketing, people and operations.
The course also looks at how external influences affect business and how businesses react to these. You will also look at the objectives and strategies that businesses adopt.
In year 11 you will do a written assessment that is worth 25% of your marks and 2 examinations.
A range of teaching methods are used to encourage active student involvement in your learning.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Most people will be employed in an organisation of some type at a point in their life and this course is designed to give you an understanding of organisations, their external environment and their markets.<\/p>

The syllabus is divided into 6 main topic areas that are taught at AS and then built on at A2.\u00a0 These are Business and its environment, People in organisations, Marketing, Operations and project management, Finance and accounting also Strategic management.\u00a0 The subject has an international outlook but retains local relevance.<\/p>

The course is assessed by 2 examinations in Year 12 and one examination in Year 13.
You may not become the next Elon Musk with A level Business Studies but it will provide you with the knowledge and understanding of business behaviour and encourage you to think critically about business activity.
After this course you can either do a degree in Business or in one of the specialist areas such as marketing, finance, human resources and similar subjects.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Se trata de un curso de dos a\u00f1os que estudia las empresas y c\u00f3mo funcionan en su entorno. Aprender\u00e1 c\u00f3mo las empresas actuales llevan a cabo las funciones de finanzas, marketing, personal y operaciones.
El curso tambi\u00e9n examina c\u00f3mo las influencias externas afectan a las empresas y c\u00f3mo reaccionan ante ellas. Tambi\u00e9n se estudian los objetivos y las estrategias que adoptan las empresas.
En el curso 11 realizar\u00e1s una evaluaci\u00f3n escrita que equivale al 25% de tu nota y dos ex\u00e1menes.

La mayor\u00eda de las personas trabajar\u00e1n en una organizaci\u00f3n de alg\u00fan tipo en alg\u00fan momento de su vida, y este curso est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para proporcionarle una comprensi\u00f3n de las organizaciones, su entorno externo y sus mercados.<\/p>

El plan de estudios se divide en 6 \u00e1reas tem\u00e1ticas principales que se imparten en AS y se ampl\u00edan en A2. \u00c9stas son: Empresa y su entorno, Las personas en las organizaciones, Marketing, Operaciones y gesti\u00f3n de proyectos, Finanzas y contabilidad y Gesti\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica. La asignatura tiene una perspectiva internacional pero mantiene su relevancia local.<\/p>

La asignatura se eval\u00faa mediante dos ex\u00e1menes en 12\u00ba curso y un examen en 13\u00ba curso.
Puede que no te conviertas en el pr\u00f3ximo Elon Musk con el nivel A de Estudios Empresariales, pero te proporcionar\u00e1 el conocimiento y la comprensi\u00f3n del comportamiento empresarial y te animar\u00e1 a pensar cr\u00edticamente sobre la actividad empresarial.
