History is the story of the past. Discovering the real past is a problem as History contains many different and competing stories.<\/p>

The historian\u2019s task is to assess and interpret the fragments from the past, and to view past events from many different perspectives. So our history teaching is rich in the development of critical thinking and thinking skills.<\/p>

We aim to give pupils the skills to assess the many and changing versions of history; the skills to develop their own version; and an appreciation of the importance of an historical perspective to our cultural life and development.<\/p>

Our stress on the transferable skills of critical thinking, problem solving, and literacy makes History a valuable career orientated choice at KS4 and KS5. In class a range of different learning styles is\u00a0used, in order to challenge and motivate students such as role-play, debating, historical games, computer simulations and creating displays.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

La Historia es el relato del pasado. Descubrir el verdadero pasado es un problema, ya que la Historia contiene muchas historias diferentes y contrapuestas.<\/p>

La tarea del historiador consiste en evaluar e interpretar los fragmentos del pasado y contemplar los acontecimientos pasados desde muchas perspectivas diferentes. Por eso nuestra ense\u00f1anza de la Historia es rica en el desarrollo del pensamiento cr\u00edtico y la capacidad de reflexi\u00f3n.<\/p>

Nuestro objetivo es dotar a los alumnos de las capacidades necesarias para evaluar las numerosas y cambiantes versiones de la historia, desarrollar su propia versi\u00f3n y apreciar la importancia de una perspectiva hist\u00f3rica para nuestra vida cultural y nuestro desarrollo.<\/p>

Nuestro \u00e9nfasis en las habilidades transferibles de pensamiento cr\u00edtico, resoluci\u00f3n de problemas y alfabetizaci\u00f3n hace de la Historia una valiosa opci\u00f3n orientada a la carrera en KS4 y KS5. En clase se utiliza una gama de diferentes estilos de aprendizaje, con el fin de desafiar y motivar a los estudiantes, tales como juegos de rol, debates, juegos hist\u00f3ricos, simulaciones por ordenador y la creaci\u00f3n de exposiciones.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
