During their primary school education English speaking pupils have already started to study Spanish as a foreign language and they are introduced into the study of different subjects from the Spanish curriculum which they continue during Key Stage 3 (years 7 to 9). It is compulsory for all our students to learn Spanish.<\/p>

Spanish at GCSE Level:<\/strong><\/p>

All students take the GCSE Spanish. There is always a group of Year 11 students who prepare for this examination but there is also the option of taking it at the end of Year 10 for those pupils who have been in the school longer.<\/p>

Spanish follows the Edexcel specification. The course comprises four different skill areas: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing, each of them being worth a 25% of the final grade.<\/p>

Spanish in 6th Form:<\/strong><\/p>

This course will prepare our students to understand and communicate in spoken and written Spanish in various different styles. It is a large part of the course to study in depth the culture and political situation of Spanish speaking countries.<\/p>

Spanish follows the Edexcel specification. To obtain the A Level qualification students must pass four different units. Year 12 usually prepare for Units 1 and 2 (Advanced Subsidiary GCE) and they complete their full A Level GCE in Spanish (Units 3 and 4).<\/p>

Durante su educaci\u00f3n primaria los alumnos de habla inglesa ya han comenzado a estudiar espa\u00f1ol como lengua extranjera y se les introduce en el estudio de diferentes asignaturas del curr\u00edculo espa\u00f1ol que contin\u00faan durante Key Stage 3 (a\u00f1os 7 a 9). Es obligatorio para todos nuestros alumnos aprender espa\u00f1ol.<\/p>

Espa\u00f1ol a nivel GCSE:<\/strong>
Todos los alumnos realizan el GCSE de espa\u00f1ol. Siempre hay un grupo de alumnos de Year 11 que se preparan para este examen, pero tambi\u00e9n existe la opci\u00f3n de realizarlo al final de Year 10 para aquellos alumnos que llevan m\u00e1s tiempo en el colegio.<\/p>

Este curso preparar\u00e1 a nuestros alumnos para comprender y comunicarse en espa\u00f1ol hablado y escrito en varios estilos diferentes. Una gran parte del curso consiste en estudiar en profundidad la cultura y la situaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica de los pa\u00edses de habla hispana.<\/p>

El espa\u00f1ol sigue la especificaci\u00f3n Edexcel. Para obtener el t\u00edtulo de A Level los alumnos deben aprobar cuatro unidades diferentes.
