Spoken by an estimated 400 million people worldwide, Spanish is currently the 4th most spoken language in the world. In addition to learning the language, on this course, you will explore the culture and society of Spain and other Spanish speaking countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

While you are developing linguistic skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) you will also be enhancing your cultural sensitivity.<\/span><\/p>\n

An A level in a language is a highly regarded qualification by universities and employers because it develops and demonstrates written and verbal communication skills and your ability to be analytical with information. Having the qualification A Level Spanish will be of great benefit for anyone seeking work in Spain or South America. With international trade getting ever stronger some major international companies require their employees to speak a second language. Some careers: linguistics, translation, travel and tourism and any university course in Spain.<\/span><\/p>\n

How is the course structured?<\/span><\/p>\n

At AIS, we offer two routes through A level Spanish. International students can take the traditional route of studying the A level over two years, sitting AS in Year 12 and A2 in Year 13. Spanish students study the whole A Level in one year, sitting both the AS and A2 at the end of Year 12.<\/span><\/p>\n
