About Us - Founded in 1989, and owned by a consortium of parents, Almuñecar International School is an independent, coeducational day school for students from Early Years to Year 13.

It was established in order to serve a community of native Spanish and expatriate European (predominantly British) families requiring an English style of education for their children, and is a non-profit making establishment. Approximately sixteen nationalities are currently represented in the student body.

The school is authorised by the British Council and by the Spanish Ministry of Education. It is a member of NABSS (National Association of British Schools in Spain).
